7/06 - (Current) Unitarian Universalist Association. Boston, MA
Design/Production Assistant
Working part-time (20 hours weekly) with the UUWorld Magazine staff group. UUWorld is a printed, quarterly magazine sent out to Unitarian Universalists and congregations across the nation. My role is to create layouts for articles and features, design and place advertisments, prepare articles and images for publication on UUWorld.org, and cordinate needs between advertisers, pre-press companies, and printers.

2/07 - (Current) Bain & Company. Boston, MA
Freelance Designer
Working in Bain's Global Marketing department creating company branded materials for 38 international offices. Projects include: invitations, strategy briefs, newsletters,
website materials, stationary, and logos.

7/05 - 7/06 Lower Eastside Service Center. New York, NY
Graphic Communications Assistant
Creating printed outreach promotional materials as well as for internal communications. Developing brochures for each treatment program, annual reports, business cards, direct mailings, event invitations, developing and maintaining company website, newsletters, contact databases and other spreadsheets. Developing standardized forms to be used over the company network. Responsible for designing and generating monthly status reports for company's executive committee. Designing presentations for company executives.

Temp Designer - Contractor
Creating designs for internal office communications, including: Posters, banners, templates, and editing/resizing older designs into new software.


12/02 - 5/03 NK Graphics. Keene, NH
Production Artist Intern
Prepared books for press. Administering corrections to text from proofreader, author, and designer while maintaining proper composition and page layout. Getting all files prepared for press, pre-flighting, and managing font and file archives. Extensive work in Quark with high attention to detail and proofreading.

Volunteer Efforts:

  • Prior work with Just-A-Start, a company dedicated to helping the at-risk and troubled inner city youth of the Boston/Cambridge Massachusetts area. The program allows for young adults not in school to attend flexible classes and attain their GEDs, and if desired, state employment beautifying the city.
  • Actively participating in anti-racism, anti-oppression events and workshops at the UUA.
  • Fundraising for the creation of a Franklin Pierce Gay/Straight Alliance, organizing club events, and becoming vice president of the club until graduation.
  • Helping to fundraise for the Franklin Pierce College Women's Rights Group.
  • Organizing and fundraising for the Aids Action Awareness Group on the FPC campus and getting the AIDS Quilt displayed for students and faculty.
  • Continuing to assist the Lower Eastside Service Center to improve the quality of their non-profit substance abuse and mental health treatment programs.
